Hi there.
I'm just curious if anyone can recommend some nice enclosed areas where one could allow a 1 year old black lab to run off of his leash?
Please and thank you! |

They just built an enclosed dog park where you can have your dog run free without a leash in the Remington Park behind the pool. |

i want to thank u for being responsible and actually asking about this unlike the other irresponsible dog owners that just let their dog off the leash while theyre walking on the sidewalk or whenever they feel like it.
its amazing how stupid and incansiderate ppl can be. |

Hi: To the City of Windsor, Bye-Law Enforcement:
Don't know if anyone else is so absolutely frustrated with the non-lack of bye-law enforcement for dogs of leash in our parks that are specifically posted, "dogs must be on leash." I live in Old Walkerville. I frequently walk my on-leash dog in Willistead Park whenever possible. This is not always an option. There is NEVER an occasion when I can walk through the park where there is not a dog running loose. Each and every day at around 10:00p.m. I have counted up to nine dogs running lose. A dog walker has between 5-7 dogs he exercises and has no regard for the law. He told me tonight that the 'cops just wave at me' and when I asked him about park patrol he said that he has never seen them. I have called City of Windsor bye law enforcement and they assured me that they would 'start patrolling'. Guess what, never seen one since that telephone call and never received the follow-up call they promised. For the record, never seen one either in the four years I have been walking my dog. Tonight the dog walker was accompanied by a pit bull mix, off leash, which raced to the park railings, growling and snarling at my dog, on leash, thankfully outside of the fence. I am prevented from going into the park with my dog because of the dogs running loose and dogs rushing to my dog who is very much threatened, as you and I would be, by another dog. I pay over 3000 in taxes in this area. The dog walker pays none but HE is getting paid for walking others' dogs. What do you want us to do? For god's sake, do you have to have a child savaged before you will enforce the laws you proclaim to do. You do not and I can assure you I can provide neighbourhood proclomations ascertaining that what I say is true. |
