Chris Ivory still not 100 percent: Ivory is on my list of potential for this season, but I have to admit to being concerned about what’s become a . He was forced to leave Wednesday’s practice after the hammy tightened up on him, and his return to practice is unknown. This isn’t the first time Ivory has dealt with injuries, either. Since coming into the league in 2010, he has missed time with knee, foot, hamstring, groin, shoulder and concussion issues. So while his upside as the top runner for Gang Green is huge, Ivory is going to be a risk-reward pick. Consider him a borderline No. 2 or 3 back in all leagues.
Fred Davis looking strong in camp: The tight end position has taken a hit this season, so any potential sleepers need to be identified – . The reports that Davis, who is coming off an injured Achilles, “appears to have recaptured his speed and explosiveness.” A former fantasy starter, he was on pace for 54 receptions and 742 yards before going down last season. The fact that Davis is also in a contract year makes him an even more interesting option for fantasy football fans. He’s a nice player to target in the late rounds.
Patterson not involved with ones: Rookie Cordarrelle Patterson has a ton of upside at the pro level, but he’s not a lock to make an instant fantasy impact. In fact, he’s offense in Vikings camp. He does appear to have the inside track to be a returner on special teams, however, and that could be a sign that his role in the pass attack will be limited. Rookie wideouts don’t make a huge fantasy impact more often than not, so it makes sense to take a wait-and-see approach with Patterson in 2013. Unless he can earn nike nfl jerseys a starting role, it’s tough to advise drafting him in seasonal formats – he has more appeal in dynasty leagues right now.
