15th Annual "Paws in the Park" Walk-A-Thon
WINDSOR/ ESSEX COUNTY –“Thanks to the generous support of our donors, the WINDSOR/ESSEX COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY’S 15th Annual “PAWS IN THE PARK” is the shelters largest annual fundraising event in support of “HOMELESS” animals at the shelter, said Ken Koekstat Honorary Chair from Crime Stoppers.
The community is invited to walk with or without a pet and
enjoy a fun-filled day of activities, including:
Pet drawings by Bob Monks; Demonstrations by: Windsor Police Canine Unit and Agility demos by the Border City Barkers; Sparky of the Windsor Fire Department; Gonzo the Clown; Face Painting; Trick Training by Blue Prints Dog Studio; Pet Contest; and a Barbecue and Refreshments.
All proceeds raised from “PAWS IN THE PARK” will support the WINDSOR ESSEX COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY.

Registration Time: 9:00 a.m.
“WALK”: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Malden Park (Malden Road side)
Great Prizes will be awarded to the qualifying walkers with top pledges in three age groups! Pledge forms are available at: local Vet offices, pet supply stores, The Humane Society and www.windsorhumane.org
“NEW” IDENTIFICATION CLINIC
MICROCHIP AND 2005 DOG LICENSE TAGS
Dr. Amy Faner of the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society will facilitate the Microchip Clinic from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Malden Park. Pets can be micro chipped with a minimum donation of $20 with all proceeds to the shelter.
A 2005 Dog License Tag is your dog’s free ticket home as well as your donation to the shelter. The Windsor /Essex County Humane Society now receives a portion of the fee charged for dog licenses sold by the City of Windsor. There are now TWO good reasons to buy a dog license: Getting your dog returned and to support the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society.
