Our journey sets us out on the road in search of a reliable and safe moving vehicle. So we did what everyone else does called U-haha. We reserved a truck to go from London to Leamington to transport some windows and doors. Upon arrival in London, after some strenous time on the high way after our truck broke down going to London but we wont get in to that. At the vehicle repair shop i called U-haha to see if the truck was ready and was looked over making sure the vehicle was safe. The U-haha customer representative insured me that the truck has been looked over and has its safty check done. Upon arrival at U-haha i asked the customer representative if they could show me documentation that the safty check was done they told me quote" i dont have to show you that i dont have to rent you this vehicle get out of my store." When all was said and done we got the truck thinking it was safe "what a joke that was." Being an ex U-haha costomer representative i know that the trucks are suppose to be checked every time they go out on a one way and be safe and road worthy. After leaving the location we noticed that there was no wipper on the drivers side. We stopped to get gas at a near by gas station and looked over the truck real quick we noticed that there were no break lights the emergency break was non-functional and the thing shook like the truck had parkinsons. We called the U-haha rental company and explained that the truck was unsafe we would like our money back. They told us right where to go. So we called the U-haha main office in hamilton and asked to talk to some one about this situation. Go figure the U-haha customer representative was the person we were talking to in hamiltons mother so he told us where to go to. So we when over there heads and called the Arizona U-haha we again explained the situation to them and they told us that the people in hamilton had to handle it. And around and around and around we go. So again another call goes out to the hamilton U-haha thinking in our heads is this how you run a place of buisness, a buisness known internationally wouldnt they have some consideration or some ethic on customer service. We ended talking to someone different and expained how we are just getting the run around and we are very upset the man on the other end of the phone starts boasting that he wants to go toe to toe heres my name and my number i will be here for another hour. So we just hung up and called the district police they came out and checked over the truck and told us that there really wasnt anything they could do and you cant drive the truck its unsafe for the road. So when all else failed we called the ministry of tranportation maybe just maybe there was something they could do. They wanted us to drive to windsor on Manning Rd. and the 401 at the weigh in station so that they could look at the truck I explained to them that doesnt that defeat the purpose if i didnt want to drive the truck cause it was unsafe why would i drive it to windsor. Exausted we drove the truck to a near by U-haha and left it there. Needless to say we are out $324.85 If anyone else has had a problem with U-haha please message me at burnunit_420@hotmail.com or post a message on here i will be checking often.
disclosure: all real names have been left to your disretion and have been named u-haha for legal reasons. |

Sometimes it feels good to rant. I'm surprised that such a large company has such poor service.
I would suggest speaking to the Better Business Bureau and reporting your experience. |
